Rotary Club of Buckhead president to speak at Thursday Buckhead Business Association meeting

type='html'>Candace Klein, president of the Rotary Club of Buckhead, will be the featured speaker at the Buckhead Business Association’s Weekly Breakfast on Thursday (Oct. 4) at 7:30 a.m. at the City Club of Buckhead.

BBA speaker Candace Klein
“As president and owner of Klein Contracting and president of the Rotary Club of Buckhead, Ms. Klein has achieved great successes as both a woman and a business owner,” notes Catherine Cattles, 2012 President of the BBA.  “We look forward to hosting Ms. Klein at our upcoming BBA Breakfast.”

Klein has served 12 of her past 16 years with Klein Contracting Corporation, a commercial roofing company, president and part owner, making her the driving force behind one of only a handful of women owned commercial roofing companies in America.  KCC’s clients include AT&T, The Coca Cola Company, Grady Hospital and the University of Georgia.

Klein is a member of the National Roofing Contractors association, has served as the president of the Master Roofing Contractors association of GA, and is a member of the National Legal Roofers Resource group.

Aside from the love of asphalt, Klein loves Rotary.  After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, she spent four years in Rotaract, a younger division of Rotary.  She has been a Rotarian for 14 years serving in every capacity from project management to officer to current president of the Rotary Club of Buckhead.

Klein is the second youngest and only third female to serve as president.  Klein is most proud of the anticipated $273,000 record charitable spending of the club this year.

She lives in Virginia Highlands with her three rescue dogs.
