The festival features an organic farmers’ market and education expo, demos and small-plate tastings of farm-fresh foods. Additionally, the festival showcases local farmers on hand to sell their produce and demonstrate their arts, some of which are regular vendors at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market every Saturday in Buckhead.
And, Buckhead residents who attend the Peachtree Road Farmers Market this Saturday, in the parking lot of the Cathedral of St. Philip at Peachtree and Rumson roads, will be able to purchase adult tickets for $20, a $5 savings from buying them at the farm. Children 12 and under are free, but no pets are allowed. The Farmers Market is an event sponsor.
- Meals from the Market will include simple dishes prepared with fresh seasonal vegetables from small local farmers. Festival goers can connect with farmers for growing tips while learning and tasting recipes.
- An inaugural pig roast at the farm will serve as the celebratory wrap-up of the festival from 4 - 5 p.m.
- The family-friendly festival will have an expanded Kid’s Village that features interactive farm experiences, healthy food activities and a bouncy inflatable. Pony rides, face painting, arts and crafts will also be available.
- Other activities include gardening demonstrations, an art fair featuring local artisans, green-living education, and raffle and giveaway prizes.
